沿岸波浪24時間予想図（FWJP）

24時間後の翌日日本時間午前9時（午後9時）の波浪を予想したものです。図の内容は実況図とほぼ同じですが、沿岸波浪計の観測値の表はありません。

実況図および予想図は、日本近海における波浪の実況解析あるいは予想結果と、沿岸の数値波浪モデルによる理論計算とを併用した波浪推算により作成されています。

この沿岸の数値波浪モデルでは、外洋から沿岸に伝わってくるうねりが島や半島などの地形によって遮蔽される影響と、風による局所的な風浪の発達とを理論的に計算しています。

沿岸波浪実況図及び同24時間予想図の例は、台風が日本の南から北上し、太平洋沿岸で波が高くなった時のものです。

Coastal Wave 24-hour Forecast Chart (FWJP)

The coastal wave 24-hour forecast chart is the wave prognosis which is valid for 24 hours after OOOOUTC (1200UTC). The graphical representation of wave information in the forecast chart is almost the same as that of the analysis chart except for the absence of the tabulated data of coastal wave recorders.

Ocean waves around Japan and the results predicted by the numerical wave model for the coastal waters of Japan are used for coastal wave analysis and forecast. Coastal waves are calculated by the coastal wave model with a resolution of 10km, considering the effect of sheltering and decay of the incidental waves from the open ocean and local growth of wind waves.

Two examples of analysis and forecast charts below show high waves around Typhoon 9319 hitting Japan.
